I hate that earphones instantly tangle into endless intricate knots the moment you take them out of your ears. No matter how carefully you remove them, they will always intertwine into complex contraptions similar to Guantánamo torture devices. Try this: slowly reach for your left ear with your left hand. Do not make any sudden movements. Gently pull the left earphone out of your ear, do not let go of the cable. Then do exactly the same to the right ear, using your right hand. Ever so delicately, lower both sides of the earphones and deposit them simultaneously on a flat surface. Well done, you may now resume blinking and breathing. Look back at the earphones. THEY’RE FUCKING TANGLED.
